I'm an independent, and you've opened my eyes a bit.

It's becoming crystal clear (to me) that media bias is worse than I thought.

A few minutes ago (at approx 9:30 am pacific fri 08-14-2020) I did a Google search for the phrase "neighbor shoots five year old cnn" (without the quotes.)

It took almost a week, but CNN (finally) has an article up on their site reporting the story.

A 25-year-old man has been charged in the shooting death of 5-year-old Cannon Hinnant:

However, a cursory look at the article tells me CNN isn't being intellectually honest.

The article starts off with a large headline that reads:

A 25-year-old man has been charged in the shooting death of 5-year-old Cannon Hinnant

Immediately beneath the headline is a man (who is white.)

But the man immediately beneath the headline isn't the man charged in the shooting death of 5-year-old Cannon Hinnant.

The man immediately beneath the headline is the boy's father. You would only learn that by clicking and watching the video.

Viewers who don't take the time to click and watch the video could easily be misled into thinking the man pictured beneath the headline is the man charged in the shooting death of 5 year old Cannon Hinnant.

You have to scroll about halfway down towards the bottom of the article (well beneath the fold) in order to see a much smaller picture of the man charged in the shooting death of 5 year old Cannon Hinnant - Darius Sessoms (who is black.)

Imo, CNN can kiss my ass.

Total garbage reporting. One might think the shooting could have been accidental if this is the first they read about it. Important details were omitted such as witnesses seeing the killer murder the 5yo boy execution style in front of his two sisters.
