Good News / Bad News

It has been confirmed DIRECTLY with NYRA that racing on the inner dirt surface will continue thru and including Sunday, 03/17. Thus, our contest will continue beyond this weekend.

This will be considered either good or bad news, pending your standings on the Leaderboard.

Thursday, March 14, 2013

Andy Serling and Eric Donovan were saying 'hopefully, this will be the last week of racing on the Inner Track surface at Aqueduct......as Wednesday they hope to be on the main track".

Mother Nature has other plans for the week begining Sunday 3/17/2013
Two clippers are expected to move across the North East area from Chicago Thursday 3/14 and Friday 3/15.... Then a Winter Storm will move into the area as early as Tuesday 3/19 and "hang" around for a few days.

I know NYRA has been wanting to move to the main track the Middle of March, but if they do, how good will the surface be ?

Thanks for the update Larry. When I contacted someone with NYRA today, they were not aware of the update. So this means Aqueduct is not racing on Palm Sunday, 03/24?

Contest Length

Just so it is clear, the contest is on until Aqueduct switches to the main dirt track, even if that is July 1st.

They don't race on Palm Sunday or Easter per state law.

Found this on an ADW's Facebook posted today (3/18/2013)

Looks like the Ridersup contest has finally ended......will have to wait and see how much damage Winter Storm UKKO does in NY area thou.

Reminder: NYRA is back to racing on Wednesdays starting this Weds. And they begin racing on the MAIN track as well. So gear up for great racing this Spring.

I think that is a mistake, especially since it comes from an ADW and not NYRA. Probably should check NYRA first, and that has already been posted here.

Yes, NYRA is the site to watch for updates.. I posted what I found on the ADW's Facebook post BECAUSE I thought it was very odd that they would say such a thing.

When I first saw the post, I commented on it ... "Are you sure Aqueduct will race on the Main Track Wednesday 3/20 ?" Well, guess what.... NO RESPONSE. Typical, this Company ASSUMES they know it all. Waiting to see if they respond in the next few days.

Money.. you are corect.....

On the NYRA website under Entries...

Wednesday March 20, 2013 Races are listed for INNER TRACK

Thursday March 21, 2013 Races are listed for INNER TRACK

Friday March 22, 2013 Races are listed for INNER TRACK

Saturday March 23, 2013 NO reason to move to main track on the last day of racing before closing down for three days.

MARCH 27, 2013 IS MORE LIKELY the day AQUEDUCT starts racing on the MAIN TRACK.

Still saying there will be ONE MORE GO AROUND this Saturday, March 23, 2013.

Maybe you should just combine this year contest with next years.
