How to seduce animals activists into betting on horses

Develop Pick-6 type of bets where if there is only a
single winner and the payoff is high (how high would have to be
determined), the winner would have the option to take only half the winnings
and the other half would be guaranteed to be used to retire one or more
horses from racing. Imagine reams of animal activists betting
millions of dollars to help get a cheap hurting plater retired. Here's a chance to
feel virtuous and make a lot of money at the same time and boost the industry through B.F. Skinner's style of variable reinforcement.

I'd love to make book on how many so-called publically announced animal
saviors actually took the first option and kept all the money.

What say ye?

Thanks,

Bill

The animal activists are so repulsed by the cruelty in our sport that they can't possibly be expected to be sharp enough as handicappers to ever hope of winning any kind of pick-6 type wager. You are gonna have to think of something else.

You don't need smart handicapping to pick Pick-6 winners.

You only need thousands of young animal activists united in a meme cause evangelized on Reddit by the prophets of their movement.

So let me get this straight---the angle to save horse racing is to make a "meme" that it's so horrible and dangerous to the animals participating in it that they need to be saved at any cost. And the way to save them isn't to protest at the tracks, or through legislation banning this cruel sport, but to get animal rights activists to play Pick 6 wagers? Wow.

Why don't you make a fake charity to rescue racehorses and then when people donate, just keep all the money and let the horses rot? That would be as logical, ethical, and productive as your idea, and you don't have to teach random people how to win Pick 6 bets.

I do appreciate the laugh though, I really needed it.

The main point of my satirical post was that the industry needs to get more creative to get more young folks into the sport.

Or, to quote a sage from the backstretch from England (I think it was Newmarket):

"There is a difference between good breeding and being merely well-bred."

they need a better random number generator for those that want to make it a lottery and promote it as such.

buy a $10, $20, $50, $100 randomized ticket

Sports in general are losing market share except for the NFL. Young people are too self absorbed and are distracted by what's on their cell phone apps.
