On the one hand, 46zilzal will spout endlessly about all the cases where people are catching COVID who aren't vaccinated.

But for this story? He'll just call you a dumbass for posting about "one isolated incident of anecdotal information"

How is he not getting paid to post his nonsense? Nobody would do that for free.

And that is what the vaccine is for. It is not to stop you from getting COVID, it is to keep us from overwhelming the health care system, with milder symptoms. Look up the definition of “herd immunity,” and you will see it is a combination of natural immunity and vaccinations combined. The real question is how many that are vaccinated, are being hospitalized with COVID, and what percentage are dying that have been vaccinated versus those that have not.

the places that are not having that bad a time now, will have them in the winter where the people are staying indoors with low ceilings.

this thing is going to last more than a generation throughout the world. hopefully, the strains of this don't become so strong that it will wipe out a good portion of the population.

The narrative keeps changing. If the vaccine is only to mitigate symptoms then why the push to vaccinate teenagers and eventually under 12? This age group has very mild or no symptoms already. Now we are being told that the more cases there are, the more likely there will be variants and that is why everyone must be vaccinated. Except that now that argument is evaporating with all of the "breakout" cases.

So which is it?

Great. I agree 100%

So why all the doom and gloom lately from the media and guys like 46zilal?

We should be celebrating the defeat of COVID. Not trying to make sure ABSOLUTELY NOBODY EVER GETS IT AGAIN, VACCINATED OR NOT

Seems like unless there are ZERO cases out there, nobody will ever be satisfied and the power lust will continue.

But what do I know, right?

You guys have the answers for everything.

It's worked out SO WELL thus far...

The number of people who previously had COVID is so woefully undercounted that the vaccinated vs unvaccinated debate is really pretty dumb.

I'd bet that 90% of Americans have either had COVID or gotten vaccinated by now. The escalation in cases is a clear indication that the new strains are making people (even the vaccinated ones) sick enough to go get tested.

At this point we need to pin down what is a COVID death and what is not, that's all that matters. I'm betting those numbers are still over inflated.

Once again, I don't trust any of them. They keep changing the narrative to comply with their politics. Seeing them mask small children the entire day of school was the last straw with me. These bastards don't care about anyone but their own. Their whole mindset is centered around hate. Why is this so difficult for people to grasp?

People as a whole are really stupid these days. It's amazing to me that with all the information available to us, so many choose to be dumb sheep and not think for themselves.

State and local health departments, and the CDC, need to do a better job collecting and reporting data on breakthrough infections. The CDC announced in May that it was only going to collect data on breakthrough infections that led to hospitalization or death, which are fortunately rare. But that means that outbreaks like ours will fly under the radar. Any of us could infect others, apparently including other vaccinated people. It’s not clear if our group got sick because of a particularly virulent variant, because the vaccine is wearing off or for some other reason. Without good data, we’ll never know.

How convenient is that!? Whatever it takes to keep the number of "breakthrough" cases down so that the CDC can amp up the volume on its attacks on the unvaxxed!

Back in the beginning masks, social distancing and/or lockdowns were supposed to do that.

You know not of what you speak, sir!

There are only two ways for a community to reach herd immunity: through the natural development of antibodies OR vaccination. (emphasis mine)

The immune system naturally develops resistance to a disease after being infected, although “immunity” occurs at varying levels depending upon the individual and the disease. This is how people resisted disease for centuries before vaccines began to be consistently developed in the 1800s and widely distributed in the 1900s.

https://www.rasmussen.edu/degrees/he...herd-immunity/

If herd immunity had to be a combination of both, as you claim, the human race would have become extinct long ago.

Have a nice day, sir.

Went to bed last night with a intermittent cough. Woke up way worse…constantly coughing, headache, fever and nausea. If I’m not marginally better tomorrow I’ll get tested.

If this is COVID and a mild case (having been vaccinated) I’d hate to experience the full blown deal.

It could be, sir, that the evil that you have wished on others, might be alighting on your own head.

P.S. If Covid, there's always the Ivermectin solution. Hope you get feeling better.

For some of us, Marshall...it isn't. We have literally been dancing for over a year with the moving of goalposts and quoting Science when they think it matters, along with ignoring it when it doesn't. I have said in some of my posts for months now how this whole "Pandemic" has turned Ghoulish. What they are doing with children now PROVES this. I am so happy my children are pretty much grown (20 and 23).

Your post couldn't be any more accurate.

I think laziness has something to do with it, Rex. I didn't know thinking took that much effort...but evidently, it does.
