Dying from COVID makes you an international superstar

If it weren't for getting intentionally killed by COVID, nobody would have ever heard of this "Czech folk singer"...but the media's gotta get that fear porn out, in whatever form it might take:

Czech singer Hana Horka dies after catching COVID-19 intentionally and avoiding vaccine

Imagine if they published stories wondering about why all these young people and young athletes are mysteriously dropping dead the last year or so....nahhhhh....totally normal.

Good. I hate folk singers.

I'm 58 with high blood pressure, so I'm at risk. I'm fully vaccinated. Caught covid from my wife 10 days ago. It's the flu. Acts like it and feels like it. I did absolutely nothing for it other than nyquil to suppress running nose. I went to work every day (not really around too many people) and even shoveled the driveway (although short of breath afterwards). Like I said, just like the flu. Let's move on.

I got it too after being vaccinated, I honestly think the vaccine does minimize symptoms. I will raise you two years, heart failure, and diabetes. I was dragging ass for weeks, but still functional.

Personally, I don't think there was ever a debate about whether it minimizes symptoms.

I think the debate has been:

1. Have the drug companies, Fauci, media, and healthcare industry been understating (lying) about the risks, side effects, deaths etc... because they believe despite those risks, there is still a net benefit to being vaccinated?

2. Did they already know the benefits were not as good as advertised and would not last very long?

3. Did money and risk to career for speaking out impact policy?

Let's say they have been "noble lying" because they think there is a net benefit, I object to that on principle alone, but even worse it assumes that everyone's risk/reward is the same.

Someone like me (62 and high blood pressure) should probably be vaccinated.

But the math changes A LOT if the risks are higher than they are saying, the benefit is lower and doesn't last long, and you are 25 year old very healthy male, let alone a kid etc..

How can you make an informed decision of what your risk reward is if they are lying about the both the risks and benefits?

You can't. And that's why some of us act the way we do. We're not anti-vaccine. We're anti coverup.
