Who's got a gun.....? Chicago style

http://hotair.com/archives/2014/08/2...ts-are-issued/

"Since Illinois started granting concealed carry permits this year, the number of robberies that have led to arrests in Chicago has declined 20 percent from last year, according to police department statistics. Reports of burglary and motor vehicle theft are down 20 percent and 26 percent, respectively. In the first quarter, the city’s homicide rate was at a 56-year low.

“It isn’t any coincidence crime rates started to go down when concealed carry was permitted. Just the idea that the criminals don’t know who’s armed and who isn’t has a deterrence effect,” said Richard Pearson, executive director of the Illinois State Rifle Association. “The police department hasn’t changed a single tactic — they haven’t announced a shift in policy or of course — and yet you have these incredible numbers.”

Well now, that doesn't fit the agenda.

Let's see if MSNBC reports this 'alarming' statistic.

They are talking about robberies, Burglary and motor vehicle theft. Those are crimes where bad guy normally is robbing/thieving from a stranger etc. Now that the strangers might be armed........ look what happens? Although it appears that homicides are also down. a good thing I think.

The shootings that injure and kill so many are normally of the drive by variety wherein the shooter knows he is shooting at another thug or dealer. Btw, many of these go unreported.

So yes, shootings can be up, and the other crimes down.

Or how about California style?

Quote:
ROSEVILLE, CA (August 25, 2014) – California’s 10-day waiting period for gun purchases was ruled unconstitutional by a federal judge this morning in a significant victory for Second Amendment civil rights. The laws were challenged by California gun owners Jeffrey Silvester and Brandon Combs, as well as two gun rights groups, The Calguns Foundation and Second Amendment Foundation.
This after the recent 9th Circus, oops, 9th Circuit Court decision:

Quote:
The court concludes that California’s broad limits on both open and concealed carry of loaded guns — with no “shall-issue” licensing regime that assures law-abiding adults of a right to get licenses, but only a “good cause” regime under which no license need be given — “impermissibly infringe[] on the Second Amendment right to bear arms in lawful self-defense.”
