They're opportunists taking advantage of a crisis.
They get information on a riot on their phones, then go there to see what they can *get*.
To me, not much different than some kinds of insider trading. Like the senators Richard Burr and Kelly Loeffler went to a closed door coronavirus briefing, a briefing described as "top-secret level"......found out about the massive impact it will have upon the economy, jobs and the stock market, while telling the American public that there wasn’t anything to worry about.......yet left those briefings and then were buying up stocks deemed to benefit from the coronavirus and dumping the ones that were not.

Right! You are so innocent. You just posting a news report, is like saying the looters are just out shopping so they can clothe the people . The arsonist just want to grill some food to feed the hungry. C'mon Man!

Looters are thugs. People who can't control their anger and destroy property of others are thugs (not to mention mentally unstable).
But not all the protesters would come under that heading of course. I'm 100% in favor of correctly placed anger (but not out of control rage) as a way of getting some things to change. Its okay to be angry.
It's not okay to hurt others, destroy property, or steal stuff. NEVER OKAY.
Anybody sticking up for looters needs a value check.

Two weeks ago I bought a 55 inch flat screen television at Best Buy.
Paid for it cash.
I thought I got a good deal.
Now I know that there are way better bargains out there.
Oh well, live and learn.

I would certainly have gone inside, seeing armed guardsmen telling me to do so........ but when the fight or flight kicks in, (because someone is bound to have a temporary leave of their rational mind....and start firing back....). This is a recipe for disaster?
Law abiding homeowners who are unarmed and non aggressive are not gonna be putting up with being fired upon in their own homes on their porches. Unless martial law is declared.
Or is this what Trump was suggesting when he said to "dominate the streets" and "get tougher" ?
Not being able to even go out on your own porch is way worse than any covid
"stay at home" orders....and people were protesting those....
