Trainer was waiting for just the right spot. Trainer scratched him the last 128 times he was entered.

I can tell you from experience that if you see a first-time starter in a Quarter Horse race in Arizona that is older than 2 or 3 you should consider betting with both fists.

I remember numerous times seeing a first-time starter entered into small stakes races in Arizona and the horse running away from the field. They usually did at really, really low odds as well. This was all due to the fact that the Equibase charts don't exactly show match race performances.

He was a cinch. It was on 10/10/10 and he was 10 years old. How could he lose?

Charming Fella wins again at 8/5. By 1 1/2 in 1:04 3/5 for five and a half furlong. Breeders Cup 2011 here he comes.

You got 10 Mostpost... 5-2 headed out of the paddock looking to be perhaps the first undefeated 10yo. through 3 career starts. We could be looking at the next Zenyatta.

This is a pretty nice old horse he's been hanging on to, I think. Chances are, he won the first couple more on talent than on fitness. I couldn't have played either, but I'd hardly be surprised if this old sucker keeps meeting the challenge of tougher as he rolls through his conditions.
