Radio Margaritaville is my truck's only permanent radio setting.

RIP.

I have a good friend who is on suicide watch right now. His whole life was travelling the States to go to his concerts.

When Belterra was still River Downs, the big lot along the homestretch was a convenient place for concertgoers to park and walk through the grandstand area to get to Riverbend Music Center, right next door (the current configuration makes this less practical, which is a loss). How the Parrotheads transformed that place every year was spectacular. I never went to a concert, but just walking around the lot was sensory overload: booze, skin, music, it had it all.

I miss those days.

Rest in Peace. I "blasted" Margaritaville on many an AM station.

Talk about living life on your own terms - he did just that.

I'm a fan, and I'm sad to hear of his passing.
RIP Jimmy

On top of my list too…..along with 70’s-Deep tracks and 75

I play a few Buffett songs on guitar and saw the news this morning around 5:30a. Sat down and played a few……..

Very sad time for parrot heads everywhere… 🌴 🎶 🏝 🚤 😎. He was a true legend to an entire generation in the South. I’ve seen him live eleven times… primarily because I worked concert security at college in Florida. Met him once sitting alone in a booth at his restaurant in the Keys. Humble and genuine. I listen to his ballads outside on my happy hour deck at least twice a week. Cheers to the son of son of a sailor…. May the wind be at your back and glass always be full. 😎.

I guess that infection from steppin' on that pop top finally caught up to him.

Rest In Peace... Jimmy.

...."load the last ton, one step ahead of the jailer." Goodnight to the son of a son of a sailor. A simply wonderful lyricist.
