This was the correct decision, not because Trump should be on the ballot, but because individual states don’t have the authority to remove him.That would cause chaos.
Section five of the fourteenth amendment gives Congress the duty of enforcing the Amendment. They did so in the enforcement acts of 1870 & 1871. But they did not address section three.
SCOTUS said Congress needs to decide the matter. That doesn’t mean Congress should pass a law banning Trump from the ballot in Colorado-that’s not going to happen anyway. It means Congress needs to establish procedures for challenging someone’s right to be on a ballot pursuant to section three of the 14th Amendment. And that procedure must be applicable nationwide.

Trump's reaction to today's SCOTUS decision
is comical - totally in keeping with his character.
It's as if he's so relieved that he finally got a victory, of some sort.
That he'll be center stage in a historic legal decision.
History will finally show him to have won something.
I can't dispute that.
Feeling confident that most voters in this country see through him, though.

Imagine a Democrat having the balls to say Trump is in "such mental decline," while simultaneously planning to vote for Joe Biden in November.
The only way this would be possible is if said Democrat HATES the USA more than anyone has ever hated their own country in the history of mankind.
It's THAT unbelievable of a ballsy move....and just comes off as insane in the end.
There are no DRUGS powerful enough in existence that will allow Joe Biden to debate Donald Trump this year.
There will be no debates because Biden will refuse them. That is, if he's still the Dem candidate come debate time.

Trump is pleading to his "paid for" SCOTUS majority, that US Presidents
should have complete and total immunity while in office.
Cons will say this is just fine - unless a Democrat is in the WH.
Let's see whether this court has any professional integrity left.
