railcars must be safer than pipelines, otherwise why would the Biden regime do it?

First of all, stop with the we’re so worried about the workers nonsense. You didn’t care about the workers when you opposed raising the minimum wage. You didn’t care about the workers when you tried to destroy the unions. You didn’t care about the workers when you tried to repeal Obamacare. You didn’t care about the workers. You don’t care about the workers. You never will care about the workers.

The problem is the environment. In the first year of operation of the parts of the pipeline that are operational, there have already been one major spill and 11 lesser ones. These don’t just impact some bird’s nest or a coyote den. They effect the ground water; the water that people drink, the water that mothers cook in. The water babies are bathed in.

The environment is also affected even if the pipeline never breaks. The oil being transported is sands oil. Sands oil is 33% more polluting when burned.

As far as energy independence, most of the oil being moved through the Keystone pipeline is destined for foreign markets. Since most of it is owned by TransCanada, the economic benefit to the US is questionable.

To the matter of jobs. The most optimistic projections see a total of less than 2,000 permanent jobs resulting from the pipeline. One estimate has the number as low as 35.

The Biden administration is dedicated to growing clean energy; solar, wind, geothermal, hydro. Millions of new jobs are being and will be created in those industries.

Fossil fuels are dying, not just because they are so polluting but because they are finite. Trump made a big deal of being a friend of the coal miners. He gutted the environmental regulations. Well, there are less coal jobs now than there were four years ago.

Not to worry. Former Michigan Governor Rick Snyder is available to fix any water problems.

Yo DS... you have no moral high ground to stand on. So stop the you guys don't care... No it is you that don't care if people loose their jobs. The only thing your interested in is the clause that tags union wages based on the minimum wage. So piss off with your holier than thou BS.

11000 to 17000 pipeline jobs paying 90 to 100k plus for two to three years... not to mention the associated jobs from cleaner to cook... mechanic to musian... gone at a stroke of crooked Joe's pen.
So don't try and tell us Dems give a shit about the working person.

As for the pipeline leaks many are do to an aging system pushed hard... now due to Briben's EO there will be more not less. Plus now your eco warrior can cause oil trains derailments.

Also numbnuts solar harms the planet it's much more toxic waste front end and back... and guess what lots of plastic used in it as well... plastic equals oil. Wind kills wild life at a high rate as well day in and out.

We could call Joe Briben a lier on this... But like most seasoned duoshbags he spoke out of both faces. So sound bites either way.

Not likely. Mosty's uptake speed is slow, slower and slowest, with his favorite being the latter.

Need for petroleum products doesn’t just vanish, it will come from other countries with less environmental controls. I’m wondering if anyone has a graphic like this to show how we get these products from a windmill or solar farm? Not sure how to make antiseptic from wind.

But but corrupt democrat Warren Buffet owns the rail lines and that cannot be forgotten nor tossed aside.
