Since WWII, has there been a war worth fighting?

On Memorial Day, it's always sad to see those who have lost loved ones who fought for our country.
There is no doubt, had the US not entered each of the world wars, our planet would be a different,
and very likely horrific, place.

Since 1945, though, did the US benefit from all that loss of life?
This does not imply that those who died did not matter.
What it says is that our government got us into fights we could not win.
Any thoughts?

Yeah, I'm thinking it's a pointless topic that will stir the pot, start arguments, and deflect thoughts from the war dead to the "war mongers".

Have a nice day.

We have not conducted a full out military campaign against ISIS.
The results of campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan are debatable.

That would be the Kenyan who attempted to sabotage our nation.

No doubt. But this crowd does not mind, as long as they think a crumb might fall their way.

Wait until the Final War that no government of any country will win.

Hank, who the hell is that moron in your cartoon?
And who the hell cares what he says. Do you honestly think bringing a cartoon to a debate is somehow relevant? Or is that all you have?

That "moron" was, at the time of his death...the most decorated Marine in U.S. history.

Ever heard of him.
Well, if that is what he said, he talks like a moron.
A cartoon was the only place he can be quoted?

Really?

If he served for 33 years, he re-enlisted on his own.
And thinking that way, that wasn't very smart, was it?

The likelihood of that time arriving has increased since Nov 2016.

Or, do you mean the fight against extraterrestrials?
Borders won't mean much if that struggle ever breaks out.
