SANTA ANITA 5/28/17
3 MDN CLM 20K, 5F DIRT
1 UCANTHANKMELATER 9-2
5 STAGECOACH STOP 6-5
7 CHARISMIC 8-1
3 LOUD STALKER 5-2
PICK: 1 UCANTHANKMELATER (9-2)
He has been facing older in the last 2 starts. Closed decently in last with the same rider up. Baze was aboard for the win, which came at this distance here at 5-1 from the 10 post. Takes a logical drop in class. Will be late on the scene.
VALUE: 7 CHARISMIC (8-1)
Have to take note when Bejarano gets up on a cheap runner like this. Closed into a very slow pace while fanning out wide in the last start at GG. The pace in here should be more honest. This looks to be the right level for him in So. Cal.

4 THAT’S A LADY 3-1
1 ENDURING ERIN 7-2
6 BACKINTHEACADEM 10-1
2 GIRL DOWNSTAIRS 5-2
PICK: 4 THAT’S A LADY (3-1)
She comes out of back to back second place finishes with Baze up. Was bet to favoritism in both of those and was not very lucky in either. 7 for 9 in the top 3 here at SA and 4 for 4 at the distance. Think the pace works for her in here.
VALUE: 6 BACKINTHEACADEMY (10-1)
Every so often, this mare jumps up and runs a big race. Never felt like she was a turf runner and this is a good sign to go back on the dirt. Nibbled with many of these in the past. Only a 4x winner but has earned near 200k in earnings.

8 QUOTING HAWK 4-1
1 THE PUBLIC HALO 6-1
7 BIG BOY CANDY 2-1
5 MINISTERTOMYHEART 5-2
PICK: 8 QUOTING HAWK (4-1)
First timer and a New Mexico bred is in for a trainer who has been live for last few weeks. He’s a 14% debut winning trainer but has won with his last three first timers and 4 of the last 5 have run in the exacta. Think he’ll be closing in.
VALUE: 1 THE PUBLIC HALO (6-1)
Bonde has won with 3 of his last 10 1st timer 2YO’s in a maiden claiming race on the dirt. This one hasn’t shown a lot in the morning but he has worked for a while and should be fit. Bred on both sides to sprint. Tab tote for more clues.

5 SURRENDER NOW 3-1
6 TYFOSHA 9-5
7 MONDAYMORNINGBLUES 4-1
4 TRUSTINI 6-1
PICK: 5 SURRENDER NOW (3-1)
First time starter comes in with fast works at SLR for trainer Peter Miller. This trainer is having a huge meet (31%) and has had great success with Arroyo (35% at the SA meet). Female tree produced a superstar Japanese sprinter. Miller 13% 2YO debut.
VALUE: 7 MONDAYMORNINGBLU (4-1)
Was hammered down to 6-5 in the debut for Peter Miller. He was on the inside and traveling well early but was steadied a few times and lost his momentum. Makes the rider switch to Baze. He is 24% for Miller.

4 GENTRIFIED 4-1
1 FACE OF VICTORY 7-2
9 MOONLIGHT BLUE 8-1
6 TRUE VALOR 4-1
PICK: 4 GENTRIFIED (4-1)
He has had a miserable time getting out of the gate but seems to have corrected that in the last three starts. Like him w/ this cutback given his style. There are a lot of runners in here who will contest a fast pace. He should be closing in from a bit off of the pace. Been working sharply.
VALUE: 9 MOONLIGHT BLUE (8-1)
Was working out in company w/ the top choice and they were close together. He tried the turf in last and for the 2nd time, he didn’t handle it well. That was a much tougher group of runners. Should enjoy a good trip stalking on the outside in here.

6TH - OPT CLM 75K, 1M TURF (3:34)
7 MISTRESSOFTHENIGHT 12-1
1 NOVEMBER TALE 15-1
4 HEAVENLY THOUGHT 9-2
3 BLAME IT ON ALPHIE 4-1
PICK: 7 MISTRESSOFTHENIGHT (12-1)
She has had a tough time breaking out of the gate. She stumbled twice in the last four starts. The one time she was off with the filed, she won easily. 4th in the tough G3 two back. Has some turf breeding in the tree. Looks ready here.
VALUE: 1 NOVEMBER TALE (15-1)
Euro shipper came off a maiden win in Ireland where she beat 13 runners. She dwelt two back but still ran well. 2nd in the debut is a G1 winner. She will like a move to the US and first time Lasix.

3RD - OPT CLM 75K, 6.5F DIRT (2:00)
1 TIZ A BILLY 5-2
5 PERFECTLY MAJESTIC 2-1
6 FOREVER JUANITO 6-1
2 HOME RUN KITTEN 9-2
PICK: 1 TIZ A BILLY (5-2)
Unless the outside runner sends early, there’s no one that can put pressure on this one. Went wire to wire last out w/ this rider up. Never been out of the top 2 at the distance. Winner 2 back won G2 True North (111 Beyer) at Bel next.
VALUE: 6 FOREVER JUANITO (6-1)
Have a feeling they are going to sit just behind the top choice and try to keep it slow early. If so, it could be a 2 horse race. Back to regular rider Delgadillo in here. Effort 2 back at 20-1 was big.

LOS ALAMITOS 7/13/17
1ST - CLM 6K, 5F DIRT (2:00)
2 JUANSAGAIN 1-1
5 MOMENTS NOTIZ 6-5
1 CHANGING KARMA 5-1
4 PAZMEIFUCAN 15-1
PICK: 2 JUANSAGAIN (1-1)
Obvious physical problems but when he is right, he can destroy these. He won his last start, which came back in May, over a better field with an 83 Beyer. If he runs the same race, he wins. 3rd came back to beat 8k claimer by 5. Leading rider is up.
VALUE: 1 CHANGING KARMA (5-1)
He has a good record here, 5 of 8 in the money. He is taking a huge class drop off of what he’s been facing at SA. He’ll save ground from the inside and should be the main threat closing in. Had a rough trip 4 back facing Moments No. Hits the board.

7/15/17 DELAWARE PARK
9th - DEL-G1 750K, 1M 1/4 DIRT (5:30)
5 SONGBIRD 1-5
3 WEEP NO MORE 6-1
1 MISS MO KELLY 15-1
4 LINE OF BEST FIT 12-1
PICK: 5 SONGBIRD (1-5)
Superstar filly faces the softest field she maybe has ever seen. She has won 12 of 13 starts, only a nose loss to the superb Beholder kept her from a 13 for 13 start to her career. Has speed, Smith and race under her belt. Should have little issue.
VALUE: 1 MISS MO KELLY (15-1)
Small stakes winner from Remington 6 starts ago was claimed three back. Good spot to take a chance in a G1. Expecting the connections to look to get G1 type with a late rush to pass some tired foes. Gets 11 pounds from her last start. Fits.
A) 5 B) C) 1,3
