How to create a better live bankroll tournament.

My idea is to have a hybrid of live money and structured tiered bets...

Lets' give an example of a $7500 buy-in 2 day tourney:

1. $1500 goes into player prize pool, along with sponsor monies(if any)

2. Player is given $3000 daily live voucher

3. 15 races must be bet per day, no mandatories

4. Triple tier betting for 15 races
A. Must play 5 races bet $50-50 Win/place
B. Must play 5 races bet $100-100 Win/Place
C. Must play 5 races bet $150-150 Win/Place

5. Only one horse can be played, no splitting W/P

6. Total bet live for each day is $3000

7. Swipe player's tourney card to record bets on special live/tourney SAM's

8. For tourney scoring purposes only- Cap Win 20-1..Place 10-1

9. Player keeps all voucher monies, cashes at end of each day

10. Cash pay-offs for highest scores each day, and overall Top Ten finishers, along with Sponsor Prizes

In closing, if this were a 200 player tourney, this would guarantee host track $1,200,000 in handle minimum, plus other live bets players would make on the side, outside of tourney play. This style of tourney play rewards players for their best selections accordingly i.e. A, B and C plays, while promoting a familiar, yet different, tourney strategy to protect leads late in the final races.....This was just a rough draft.

How many players on here have $7500 to execute this?

I'd say less than ten but that's only an estimate.

Meanwhile, let's get practical shall we?

Take a zero off then...

2. Player is given $300 daily live voucher

3. 15 races must be bet per day, no mandatories

4. Triple tier betting for 15 races
A. Must play 5 races bet $5-5 Win/place
B. Must play 5 races bet $10-10 Win/Place
C. Must play 5 races bet $15-15 Win/Place

5. Only one horse can be played, no splitting W/P

6. Total bet live for each day is $300

See how easy that was Bucky?.....Next.

I'll go for that.

Or even less, nice talking to you but I stand firm on the idea of making it affordable for all.

Which was not the question from the OP.

May I recommend Chuck E. CHeese's? Or if you feel flush, Dave & Buster's?

Making it affordable could be the way to make a better live bankroll tournament. But, I'm sure, just as you are, that the OP was thinking format.

If it were a 200 player tournament, it would guarantee the track $1200 in handle.
