Formful race. I'll take it exacta $1 pays = $29.50 (+$23.50)
No fancy manipulation of the selected combos required. Just a clear, specific bet.

I zig you zag. I knew I was dead in the double when both of my horses dueled throughout the 1st race. They finished 2nd and 3rd. Naturally I have #5 Spendaree in the 2nd half of a dead double. $2.00 DD paid $167.

Didn’t know they had large DD pools. Surprising, but good to know.

lol...You think it takes a huge pool for me to consider it a huge score?? I'm sure what I consider "huge" would be chump change to you.

Right now after xmas, and being laid off for the next four months, you might be surprised at what a small sum would, for me, constitute a sweet score.

There was a time when I wagered large sums, and advised guys who bet big, big, money. But now at 62, and with an obsession to leave my autistic son well-off when I pass, a huge bet is 70 or 80 bux.

Huge scores are definitely relatively. To me, if I hit a double that pays over $100 for $2, that's a nice payoff. You'll get the next one.

I have never looked at that track all that much which is why I said surprisingly. Never mentioned anything close to what I consider a huge score or however you took it. But it seems like you are often looking for a fight. I will say you have made me decide to never hit the entry box or make a wager again at MNR.

No need to respond for I assure you I will not.

I respect you’re love for you’re son and hope you leave him everything you wish for.

My interpretation of our short exchange differs from yours, sir. But that doesn't mean I'm correct, and regardless of that, tx for your response. And good luck at whatever track you patronize.

Happy holidays.

Very frustrating, when you have the best horse, and stand to win a generous payout, and the jockey, or the trip, or anything else spoils it...

@mark

Just an idea... I'm more or less just a casual race player these days, but at one point I put serious cash through the windows. Before Dale Baird passed away I use to play mountaineer pretty much every night. (Sherry posting value plays got me to play nightly)

Anyway, I think you could write a great "e-book" on capping the Ohio area. I would certainly buy it at a reasonable price and it could be an asset for you....that could return a small revenue stream.

Obv, time is always at a premium and hard to balance.. and but writing in spare time could be worth while.

Just an idea.
