Exactly. And if you look at the so-called "rightful owners" you'd find that they took it from someone else.

(Actor, the following is not aimed at you.)

Small rant.

We have a large segment of American citizens today who are "self-loathers."

They honestly believe that we are THE bad guys in the world.

If you are one of those self-hating Americans, I would ask:

Which country SHOULD be leading the world today? Russia? China? Germany? Iran?

I would put forth that America is still the GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.

Even with all her warts. And you self-loathers who would not lift a finger to save the U.S. --- who would welcome the destruction of our government and way of life --- What do you think happens if the U.S. crashes and burns?

Do you think that a new government rises from the ashes from the ever-progressive ideas from the far left? Do you think that the rest of the oh-so peaceful and fair world will just sit back while we re-organize ourselves into a shiny, new, socialist-leaning country?

If there is major insurrection here, do you actually think that China and Russia will just stand by while the U.S., at its weakest point in well over 200 years, will just stand by while we get it sorted out?

Of course not.

One or the other, or perhaps both, will fight over what's left. So, which other super power would you sign up to serve? Russia or China?

Because those are the choices, boys and girls. You want the days of "New Boss, Same as the Old Boss," to end? I can safely guarantee that neither Russia nor China will be as protective of us as we have been to the rest of the world.

So, be careful what you wish for.

There is no ‘moving on’. These are low-skill, dead-end jobs. Populated by low-skill, dead end workers.

Dave by excluding Actor You completely missed the target. He promotes foolish discredited ideas like the "selfish gene" as part of evolution and then he feigns disgust at the idea cultures act in their own best interest to the detriment of other cultures.

Actor is great at espousing communist propaganda and I am confident he would prefer the Communist Chinese to be the dominant power.

BTW Actor the mountain men Revolutionary war ancestors, you claim on both sides of your family are certainly spinning in their graves.

Overall, sharp post, Dave.
I would add, which country would you rather live in, and why don't you?

You are not exactly going out on a limb here. Has it ever been suggested here that the USA isn't the "GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD"? My own personal opinion is that, although our country is certainly the "Greatest Country in the World"...she could still use a little improvement. Pointing out the "warts" of one's country does not equate with "self-hating". When people criticize a country, the criticism is usually pointed towards the government...and no government is above criticism, IMO.

No mater how good we think we are...we should still acknowledge that we all have room for improvement. And the same goes for countries, and governments.

After reading Dave Schwartz's post, I think a poll of the PA NATION would be very interesting.....it would have to be anonymous, of course.

The phrase "Make America Great Again" certainly implies that it isn't great in the eyes of the speaker, let alone the greatest.

They have immigration standards and restrictions that I do not meet?

This "speaker" had to say it like that...because to say it any differently would have meant giving credit to the "leaders" who came before him. And that would have been contrary to his nature.

I thought after the President Obama's style of governing it was a very appropriate campaign slogan. Especially, the rhetoric about privately owned businesses.

And what of the followers of the "speaker", who echo his words. They seem sincere in their expression of a need to "make America great again".

Not all Dave. I have several that have moved on to bigger and better things. We do all we can to encourage them. Here in Texas there are vast opportunities to move on. I have about 20 core employees that might fit your mold, they all have over 10 yrs working for us. But every single one also has a side gig that makes them money. Landscaping, remodeling, Uber/Lyft and several going to school.

The 16-24 yr olds are all moving between school and jobs. We try to accommodate them. We do a ton of stuff for our guys to move them forward. Now, I probably have 15 that might fit your dead end mold. Most are married Hispanic women who are not the sole bread winner but need a job to contribute to the household.

They keep their heads down and work their hours and are serious about one thing usually. Their kids. It might look like a dead end job, but they are raising kids with the money they make. They take it serious.

I also provide a hand up to parolee types through a program with the State of Texas. We have about a 70% success rate. Success being that they stay out of jail......conform to their parole terms and usually move up to better jobs. It’s not a dead end job to them.

Let's not play this word game nonsense. Anyone with a brain knows exactly what the phrase means to Trump and his supporters.

we were tied of the 0bama Apology tour, mocking Christians for clutch their bibles and their guns. Always taking racist positions and saying racist BS, like "typical white people." Telling people they did not make that. Openly defying our laws by allowing sanctuary cities. That kind of REAL stuff. Not knucklehead stuff like tweets.

Compared to Trumps tweets, who many do not like, 0bama's rhetoric was much more hateful and damaging.

MAGA means stop acting like liberals. Act like Americans.

History is replete with cases where the followers were swept off their feet by the hypnotizing effects exuded by a charismatic leader. Alas...the ending is seldom on par with the hype.
