This is true, and hard to believe, but also, I can't even begin to imagine the fall out from people who will have no advance notice that this is coming. I could sell tickets to this.
Assuming that you're familiar with the Amber alert's that many of us get from time to time on our mobile?
Since 2012, it has issued over 36,000 alerts for local or regional situations such as missing children, extreme weather and natural disasters.
This Thursday President Trump is texting a presidential directive to every single mobile phone in the US and you cannot opt out.
Although it's never been used on National Basis, and never used for a presidential directive.
Subject line : “Presidential Alert”
Message upon open: ..“ THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed.”
Scheduled for 2:18 p.m. EDT on Thursday
Phones will make a loud tone and have a special vibration.
There's so many fragile people out there . I can see some tragedy occurring. I hope that they get the word out BIG.. all the news orgs should be blasting this thing.

No. Only 1 more signed up for the contest and I was hoping it wasn't you!
Maybe its good to test it? Makes sense to test it on some level. It's there, we paid for it, we might as well make sure it works. Perhaps we'll need it someday for real.
The Presidential Alert thing is what scares me. There's enough mentally fragile people who already believed that the world was scheduled to end this Thursday
All the DRF contests go off at same time. So my 220 did not fill, but a $50 did, and I would have just jumped into that, but there is no option to get out something that is not filling.
They should close / cancel them with a little time window to get into the $50 because now they are sitting on 220 tourney credits that I can't bet, or withdraw.
Today I had all day to give racing.

Two thoughts:
1. For conspiracy theorists... the feds shut down an observatory a week ago in New Mexico. The FBI has taken it over and everyone working there has been told not to talk about at the FBI's request. Aliens? Russians? https://www.salon.com/2018/09/14/the...-shut-it-down/
