McCain voted for Hillary.
He had no intention on ever getting rid of Obamacare.

This is a load of horse shit from McCain.
He's voted for many things along party lines and the democrats would not hesitate to impose some country bankrupting abomination on the rest of us if they got the chance.
Granted, it would be better if republicans had more time to refine the bill and make it better, but they have zero chance of passing anything GOOD if democrats are involved.

Most of the GOP are bottom feeding liars with no integrity.
But McJerk makes THEM look good.

Some gifts are not appreciated sometimes till years later, one never knows how bad a McCain Presidency could have been. Obama Care will have to implode, and just maybe both Chuck Schumer and Bernie Sanders fail at every attempt at anything. I'll save the rock salt for whoever is down first, count on it.

Mitch needed more time to get a bill ready to vote on.
All he had was 8 years.
GOP - All arrive at the senate chambers in one car.
DNC - take turns parking the car for them.
US Government - 100% worthless.

He will have plenty of time to work on it. He just pulled the plug on the life support system. Again.
The Senate will come back and take care of this after they do tax reform.
Quote:
Senate Republicans, short of votes, abandoned their latest and possibly final attempt to kill the health care law Tuesday, just ahead of a critical end-of-the-week deadline.
The repeal-and-replace bill’s authors promised to try again at a later date, while President Donald Trump railed against “certain so-called Republicans” who opposed the GOP effort. But for now, Trump and fellow Republicans who vowed for seven years to abolish President Barack Obama’s law will leave it standing and turn their attention to overhauling the nation’s tax code instead.
The GOP’s predicament was summed up bluntly by Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, a lead author of the legislation: “Through events that are under our control and not under our control, we don’t have the votes.”
“Am I disappointed? Absolutely,” he said after a GOP lunch attended by Vice President Mike Pence.
Standing alongside Cassidy, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said: “We haven’t given up on changing the American health care system. We are not going to be able to do that this week, but it still lies ahead of us.”

The death spiral continues.
Florida's 2018 ObamaCare rates were just released, with an average increase of 45%. A single person with no subsidy will pay $8,000 a year, and a family of 4 will pay $18,000. The penalty for not having insurance is $695 a year for adults and $347.50 for kids under 18.

Thanks to petty, brain-dead and vindictive dolts such as John McCain, Susan Collins, Mitch McConnell and small minded purists such as Rand Paul and Ted Cruz, ObamaCare is here to stay.
So, let's do a dance and sing praise ... if you like your insurance, you can keep your insurance ... if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. Hoo-ray! Hoo-ray! And repeat.
So, while you can 'keep' your insurance, and you can 'keep' your doctor, what you can't keep is your money and your freedom.
Way to go, GOP (RIP, 1856-2017).

Maybe we all drop our insurance and take the penalty, and just use the emergency rooms.

Obamacare is not here to stay. It cannot survive in the current form. When things aren’t getting paid, medical care will dry up.
Then the shit hits the fan

The administration has the power to unilaterally dismantle much of ObamaCare, and I am not aware of any effort in that direction.
Huge parts of the program were established by rule making under the Secy. of Health and Human Services, and could be changed or abolished by similar action of the current Secy.
As one example, the definition of a qualified plan (including prenatal care for all, men and women, and other idiocy) was established by rule making. If the definition of a qualified plan was seriously decreased in size and scope, rates could be slashed. There is also evidence to show that the Secy of HHS has the ability to stop enforcing the individual mandate.

I'm sure that beginning October 1st any bill to repeal Obama Care will get 100% support from Republican senators.
