Mahoning valley lingo

i just wanted to play around with my voice dictation so I downloaded Mahoning Valley past performances last night. Instead of saying Pick 3, they say Pick 3 parlay. I assume that is the same thing as a pick 3, but why the change in wording? What is the point and what am I missing. Then on the pick 5 or pick 6 they also call it a parlay and then they say 50% carryover. Does that mean if nobody hits 50% goes to carryover and the other 50% is paid to those with 5 winners in a pick 6 or 4 winners in a pick 5?

I'm pretty sure their pick six is a jackpot bet, so presumably with multiple winners fifty percent is added to the jackpot.
