We don't get to praise Maiden Claimers that often around here, so I thought I would give some mad props to this one.
Last Friday in the 5th at Santa Anita, he went off at 41-1, the longest shot on the board, and looked like he was totally eliminated at the start. He took several bad steps and bumped the
hard. By the time his jockey righted him he was 15 lengths behind the field in a 6 furlong race. He didn't even really start his run until the quarter pole and somehow flew past everyone in the stretch and got up to win the race in the last jumps.
It was a one in a million performance. I want to see what he can do with a clean break.
