Science did not create anything to date that has helped stem the tide of this virus:
1. Invented respirators - Nope
2. Invented PPE - nope (science still can't decide if it works or not)
3. Invented medicine to fight covid - nope (pre-existing)
4. Was able to tell doctors how best to treat covid - nope (they did it by trial and error)
5. Was able to tell Cuomo to stop sending the ill to nursing homes - nope
6. Had factories churning out PPE and respirators - nope (govt did that)
7. Came up with testing kits - nope (that capability already existed)
8. Knew that it was highly transmissible - nope (not until it was too late)
Now science CAN be part of the final solution via a vaccine but we don't have it yet. So far, science and govt has failed 1.1M people and counting.
What should have been done?
1. Isolate the elderly
2. Understand what treatment options work and use them before, during, and after illness
3. Find a vaccine.
My God, how difficult is it really. This is stuff you learn as a junior manager in large companies. Isolate the problem, perform workarounds, and work toward a permanent solution.

Actually, you know where SCIENCE really SHINES?
When Joe Biden is on a debate stage in front of a national audience. It's at that point when SCIENCE is in full effect...in the form of the medications coursing through his veins, making him appear alert and coherent for 90 minutes straight.
Now THAT'S SCIENCE SUCCESS Joe Biden style.

Good science is common to red and blue states, all politicians et al.

I refer all your concerns to the trump organization for resolution, obviously my thoughts are not of any value to you.

What does Trump have to do with the 930,000 dead people around the world?
How did science do for those folks whose President is not Trump?

Analyze the data as you would a horse race. Looking at but one stat has little or no value.

I was just reading Benter's report and something he presented on the first page ,may interest you "First, because of its empirical nature.....

Those people everywhere are dead because it was an unknown virus and terrible leadership. We now know it was a corona virus, and Xi Jinping did not do his job to stop travel and alert the world. Instead he arrested several scientists and doctors who were sounding alarms. Some of them are still missing, most likely from the virus, right?

The rising pandemic in Europe is proof positive that neither Trump nor any other leader is to blame for the death toll. Mitigate the effects as best you can and find the vaccine. But above all, do NOT let the cure (destroying your economy) be worse than the problem. I'd rather save 70,000 10-45 year olds from drug overdoses and suicides than 250,000 70 and up people from the virus. Call that horrible but I say let the young have a shot at life and not cling to your older life at their expense.

don't bet unless you have a statically proven profitable method of play.
now if everyone on this board adhered to that, the track handle would plummet

A problem with much of today's "Science" is that it is often subservient to politics.
Subservient:
(1) prepared to obey others unquestionably
(2) Less important ; subordinate
(3) serving as a means to an end
Science would have been in a much better position to help us in regard to the virus were it not subservient. Unfortunately much of the money used to fund "Science" is coming from groups/entities pushing a specific agenda, which makes it much more difficult to arrive at scientific truth.
