Is trainer Alan Goldberg retiring ??

Or maybe just parting ways with Colts Neck Stables/Santulli?
He always has horses at Pim on Preakness week and I noticed he only had FORMER runners there. All are now trained by a guy named Duarte but still owned by Colts Neck.
They were all recent transfers as well.
Thx for any info!

I'm pretty sure that is the case. Duarte is now Colts Neck's trainer.

I just googled and a recent article said AG is now the stable manager of Colts Neck JD trainer.

Thanks for the info!
Gonna miss Goldberg....he was a solid "under the radar" trainer.

I would expect similar under Duarte- he was Goldberg's assistant for a long time and I suspect took care of a lot of the hands on work. The Duarte horses still train at Colts Neck Stables

Jorge Duarte rode at Parx for years with modest success. Was a pretty capable rider too but didn't seem to catch on. Parx is notorious for 'burying' riders who don't catch on right off the bat.

Duarte left Parx for Dubai where he found riding success and personal maturity.

And, now, after being Alan Goldberg's assistant is now the top guy. He should do well if given the opportunity.

Goldberg is/was --not sure if he actually retired-- a very capable trainer, not to mention under-rated by most fans.

Goldberg had a terrific career as a trainer, very reliable for his owners and bettors.
