That was incredible. I was starting to wonder if I'd see the Caps win a Stanley Cup Finals game in my lifetime!

I don't watch much hockey so my sample is small but I have to believe Vegas was just plain unlucky in game 4, it seemed the posts made almost as many saves as Holtby. A couple inches here and there and we have a completely different game. You see a 6-2 score in hockey and think the losers got whipped in every facet of the game, that did not seem to be the case. Since I am pulling for the locals I am not complaining to get help from lady luck.

A gritty team with a well-deserved result!

Just when Vegas took the lead and tried to summon up the potential ghosts of the Capital's choking past, the CAPS imposed their will to win.

Pinch me.............it is still going to take a while to sink in!

I'm not embarrassed to say I shed a few tears tonight. It has been a very rough last couple years for me from a personal standpoint. It was really great to have something nice happen. I've been a Caps fan for as long as I can remember. I used to watch games in Baltimore on Channel 20 from DC via the antenna and it was always really snowy and you couldn't really see the puck. I remember staying up until the middle of night in my Air Force dorm room watching them lose in four overtimes to the Islanders. So much heartbreak but that only made this all the much sweeter.

PS...made a nice futures bet on the Caps to win the Cup when I was in Vegas last July, so that is nce too.

Congratulations on a fantastic run by the Capitals! Much deserved.

Ovechkin would not be denied this year.

Well, it was too much to expect for my team. Better-than-expected season anyway - I was expecting sub .500. Maybe next year.

Congrats to the Caps and all your fans!

I don't think the rest of the country can understand what this means to the DC area and to Caps fans.

We won 8 games in our expansion year. It has been 44 years, often excruciating losses in the playoffs including that Easter Eve four OT game loss to the Islanders. Five series where we led 3-1 and got beat.

I was there for most of those losses. Brutal. It just makes you numb after a while.

Last night was a very special night.
