Mike Pence Unveils Plans For New Space Force Military Branch By 2020
https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry...b0bdd0620715f3

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration set a goal on Thursday of creating a sixth branch of the U.S. military by 2020 known as the “Space Force” and said it would work to build bipartisan support in Congress for the plan.

Critics view the creation of a Space Force as an unnecessary and expensive bureaucratic endeavor and scoff at comparisons to the foundation of the Air Force in 1947.

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, in a Pentagon address, described the creation of the Space Force as “an idea whose time has come.” Trump, the champion of the plan, tweeted: “Space Force all the way!”

Space Force all the way!

I wonder If you have to be spaced out, or a space cadet to get in. Well the "General" surely qualifies

It is obvious, our next advanced weapon systems are high flyers. And some think area 51 had something to do with alien beings, it has been vital for design testing and implementation of next generation systems that outshine anyone else on the planet.

You morons do realize that ICBM's do need to travel through space to get to their target, right?

You also realize that if you control space around our globe, you also control the thousands of satellites that currently surround our home.

This isn't a "we're going to Jupiter" moment, this is a "don't **** with us" kind of moment.

Yes, where do theses nuts come from anyways?
Here's another kook babbling on about space:

Quote:
We choose to go to the Moon! We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win, and the others, too.
Should have locked that guy up!

We are on the precipice of new technology that is more deadly than ICBM's and can render them useless for a number of years. That technology is also just as dangerous in the hands of radical regimes. How we manage these threats to civilization as a whole will define humanity in coming decades. I believe there is a window of time when we use it and then it becomes available to nutjob regimes who will have no humanity at all. In that window of time we have to solve very complex issues or we are all doomed for eternity. I have NO doubt that these United States will be able to do that and more as technology evolves and be the leader of who is doing it.
