I thought the same thing, FD. Of all the songs to ban they chose that one? Those stations must not play any Gary Puckett and the Union Gap songs either.
I thought that this was an interesting counterpoint: Variety article

If anyone is seeing sexual abuse in that movie, they are surely sexually perverted morons. Period.
Next thing you know, they will saying Rudolph was bullied!
Liberals will not be happy until Santa comes down the chimney and TAKES 10% of your kid's toys.

My wife told me about this yesterday and I was - still am - astounded. As for Rudolph, he definitely was bullied. That was kind of the whole point of his story. It was very moralistic (is that a word), especially for the time. Rudolph must be okay because he overcame adversity and gained the acceptance of the other reindeer.
By the way, have a very Merry Christmas.
