If Artie Schiller couldn't handle a yielding turf course that's just another point in Timo's favor, who was easily the more versatile of the two. Artie Schiller was suspect past a mile, too. Timo probably would have emulated Paradise Creek if stayed in one piece.
In fact, the only reason Artie Schiller beat Timo at 2--in a worthless allowance, mind you--was because Timo was much too close to a hot pace...a pace that was set by the maiden See Latham..yes, that's right...the very same horse that moved way too soon and was a sitting duck two starts earlier, helping Artie Schiller to look like a stretch-running fool in his dressed up maiden victory...
