Laurel Park.

Horrific spill in the 6th race at Laurel Park. Hopefully the jockeys and horses escaped serious injury.

2 had gotten up, per Dave Rodman. Trevor McCarthy was being attended to inside the rail.

One of those chain reaction types...

McCarthy needs to be careful. He was riding a horse named Decorating 4Oct18 at Laurel and got knocked off and kicked by his mount while landing. You could see him reach for his back as he was rolling on the ground.

The turf that day was horrible. It was listed as yielding, but all 10 horse in the field were kicking up divots with every step they were taking. It was funny watching the grass fly all around the horses as they were running down the backstretch. Straightening for home, the horse to the inside of McCarthy bumped him hard and McCarthy became unseated, was actually sitting on the rump of the horse that bumped him, held on to the reins of his horse while his other hand was holding him up by pressing against the other horse, and then he tried to jump straight down between the two horses. His momentum took him towards his horse, and he landed almost in front of him, getting kicked as his horse went past.
