Slim Pickins

Watch TVG, a couple from Aqu, Lrl........what a bunch of CRAP racing.
I've seen more competitive post parades than these races.

Thank God I bought extra beer for tonight - can't stomach another race today.
Not on the East Coast anyway. Pathetic products.

Forget the first Saturday in May, this used to be the greatest day in American racing thanks to the Display Handicap. Unfortunately, that race is long gone, but we do have memories such as these:

https://www.nytimes.com/1986/01/04/s...ined-1000.html

It was very amusing watching the Display replay at Aqueduct that day, as the regulars were hollering "come on Georgie" as they passed the stands for the first time. The sun shined bright on my old Ozone Park home.

I never saw the Display, but I did see the Gallant Fox one year- I think it was 13 furlongs.

Actually that's one good thing the BC has done- we now have a bunch of marathons on the schedule every year.

tough time of year, and the weather isn't good either...

breezing the charts, some run-offs with closers coming up late past the chasing herd for a non-threatening 2nd.. Still have to demand odds to have the angle...

focus is on Gulfstream, Santa Anita and early triple crown trail stuff / msw etc..
