Outright lie.
Shows you know nothing about the topic.
SS was taken out of my paycheck since the day I started working in 1966,
Against my will.
I am entitled to every penny of that that I get back, even if I get double back.
It was a mandatory investment.
It used to be kept in a separate fund, but the good-for-nothing congress changed all that so, like Jimmy Hoffa, they could get their grubby hands on it.
Just because it comes from the government today, it is still rightfully money owed to those who funded it over the years. Plus interest.

Tom, I couldn't agree with you more.
However, the bad news is that LEGALLY, he is right.
Now, before you shoot the messenger (him or me), just remember it is more reason to mistrust both sides of the aisle.

Who but the Congress and the Mafia would argue that me getting my money back is their generosity.
I'm sorry, that was mean of me to compare the mafie to government.
I apologize to the mafia.
I always have two word of salvation when it come to our government.
Suitcase nuke.

That would be the Congress, specifically Section 1104 of the 1935 Social Security Act.

Yes, against your will. And the reason they can do that is it's a tax. So says SCOTUS.

That implies a contract between you and the government. SCOTUS says no such contract exists.

This is just terrible: A guy making sense.
Alas, he speaks truth.
Is it fair? Of course not.
But it is reality.
So, they took our money and can do whatever they want with it.
End of story.

I was quite serious starting this Thread because there are no more Unfunded (future) Liabilities than future income streams.
It's all in the future.
