Race 1
In Daddy’s Honor (4) looks like a logical, but underlaid favorite. Almacita (7) is the danger, and at a much better price. Several could fill out the tri. Beau Chant (8) is on the upswing. Both Catch Candy (1) and Sweet Roseman (2) debut for new barns, and will be coming late.

SRK: Do you know why a magnificent horse like Magnificence would wait around unraced for a year after running a 109 Beyer in her second race?

What's up, Burls. Injury. Supposedly was not major, but the fact that she's been out for over a year, doesn't sound like a little thing to me. We'll see if she can pick up where she left off. Don't think they'll push her too hard, if she is seriously challenged.

Race 3
Magnificience (5) returns, and has been working like the champ she looked like last year. Renagade Ruby (1) is the one who could push her. Nice middle move in last. Also working very well. CottonBay (3) returns for Baffert. and is the other exacta contender.

I passed the race.
I'm trying to force myself to do that more when I can't find any value in a race with any confidence.

Perfect Rhyme (8) will find the pace and the competition more to her liking today. Sneaky Jack (3) gets a big jock switch. Smooch (2) should hang around a long time. Back in the Saddle (5) takes a big drop in class. Should be competitive here.

Too bad the 9 couldn't hold on.
I should get my 10 bucks back, though.
... $23.30 for the 3-9 EX.....I'll take it.

Many of these have had several chances at this level, so we’ll try the fresh face, Cadillac (2). Has a stateside start, and steady worktab. Liberian Freighter (1) figures, but appears to be overbet on the Bejarano factor. Man to Man (4) does his best running here at Hollywood.
