11May08Hol *** Selections ***
Race 1
This race is begging for someone to jump out to a lead and try to steal it. One horse who just might do that is Cupid’s Kitty (6). She has flashed speed in the past, and now would be a good time to do so again. No sure thing. The two logical horses both come from just off the pace, and neither would be a surprise. Applaud Dubai (8) drops a notch off a win for Mullins. Almacita (1) basically does the same thing for Mitchell. Gets the good rail. Both of these have beaten winners, which none of the other entrants have.

Race 2
Race 2
A pretty mediocre bunch of maiden fillies a now scheduled to start the second. The jocks scheduled to ride in this race are nothing special, either. With the exception of Tyler Baze, who gets the nod aboard Hint of Lavender (9). Dixie Nal (1) is a first timer, who deserves a shot against this group.

Feliz Dia de las Madres, juanesptein.
This is my first Mother's Day without my Mom, so
kind of a bitter-sweet day for me. No complaints.
She lived a full and long life. Was a 33 year
breast cancer survivor. Love ya, ma !!!
Other than that....
Pool sounds pretty good right now.
I just dropped the Senora off at the mall, and will watch the
ponies, some golf, and a little later, put some thick steaks on
the asador.
Maybe even have a glass of wine, or two.
Enjoy your day. Good luck.

HOL R3
I'm convinced the 4 is a false favorite here.
But who to be in his place? ...

Race 3
Race 3
Not a particularly talented group of Allowance level fillies contest a mile over the turf. Those with experience at this level and trip do not inspire, so lets look at the new faces or someone trying something new. Ginger Pop (3) tries two turns for the first time, after breaking her maiden going down the hill. Wire shot. Tamerin (5) won her debut, sprinting on the AW, and Mitchell immediately enters her in a turf route. Invader Miss Singhsix (4) is attracting attention (maybe too much) at the windows. Been working well for good connects.
