Chris Landeros to ride at Saratoga
A very capable and heady rider could prove a very welcomed addition to the solid riding colony at Saratoga. Richard Migliore will be his agent.

and for the record I am not knocking his riding ability, which is top notch, just highlighting how hard it is to win there.

I agree, GMB, the Spa jock's room is deep ... with Hall of Famers ... so, yes, Landeros will have a tough time of it. But, he's quite capable of winning 2-3 races a week and even a few stakes during the meeting so he will pay the bills and earn a living.
These first 2-3 days of entries were already set with calls made at Belmont so I understand him not riding much at this time. But trainers know what riders could ride and who cannot.
Not all of those trainers with nice barns will be able to get the Ortiz boys, Rosario or Castellano if they have a live horse, also.
Plus, Landeros is a much better rider than Borel or Rose when they tried the Spa.

if he wins 2-3 races per week then he will have a great meet, i think its 7 weeks long now so that would 14-21 wins, that would be good for about 8th to 12th place in the standings.
