The numbers said to play her (#10 - race 8) and I couldn't get past a maiden second timer going in a stakes race and I missed out because I couldn't get out of my own way.

That a sign the handicapping god want me to call it a night.

14 state-bred maidens go sprinting to close the Mother’s Day card. I don’t recall ever seeing a race with so many debut horses with excellent works. Very hard to pick this one. 1,2,3,6,7, 10, 11, 12 and 14 all made my contenders list. Heck, play the tote. 2,6,7,11 are getting some action. Let’s bet against the favorite, the 7, on top, due to his trainer’s poor percentage with first timers. That leaves us with 2,6,11 over 2,6,7,11 in the exacta. Crap shoot.

It happens fairly frequently in 2YO races, but rarely this far into a 3 year old season and against a field with as much experience as that one had.

calif stewards suck...yest horse drifts out 6 lanes and stays up cost me money,,,consisitency is all i ask for ..
