Cool Longshot Pattern Recognition $194.50 winner

This was r9 on 9-17-23 at bel/ aqu
I refined Illich’s method to suit me.
If u look at the ratios in the doubles you’ll see the two shortest ones with a 2&6 ratio. Now the winner the race before paid $2.90, so the ratios were low. Had he paid $22.90 all the ratios would’ve been higher BUT the principle remains the same!
Anyhow, if you notice, the 5-9-10-12 were all LOWER doubles than the 3 but all had HIGHER ratios than the 3 horse. True the 2 was a 5 ratio but was only a $42 double so he was in line with the #8&5 horses.
So once you see where the money might have gone in the doubles now I turn my attention to those horses in the exactas. Now true these are the final odds and exacta prices but the principle remains the same. Now if you’re quick enough to spot what I saw you can make some money!
The #1-11 were both 3-1 on board and with the 12 you see a 595 exacta. When you look at the 3’s exactas with the 11 he was 1157 BUT with the 1 he was 392, almost an 800 difference but more importantly was 200 less than the 12 horse. The 3 was almost double the odds on the board than the 12. Mathematically that should not be, so that tells me the 3 is a very live horse on the board.
If you look at his pp’s u probably would pass him by, but he did take money in his last race compared to his prior races if I recall so you can say the connections touted him. I really doubt they wanted to try at a shorter price than previously.
That’s how I think. So you think what you want. I alway approached the game as dishonest or disingenuous and I dared them to try and hide the money from me. These guys are not Rhodes scholars and even the top trainers winning all sorts of money still scheme and cheat. If you watch the board you’ll beat them at their own game too.
I did not figure this method out overnight. I started this method 45 years ago. It took me 2 years of charting 9 races a day, going to the track every day. Back then I knew all the winning patterns-short and long. But over time I learned to back away from the short. Bottom line is there’s just NO REWARD for the risks you’ll incur along the way. Besides which is better for your ego, telling someone that the horse you caught which won by 6 lengths and paid $8.60 was a lock or that $43.00 horse you caught was as clear as that blue sky above you but that most players wouldn’t touch because they saw how bad it ran recently!!
Your right in thinking this is a numbers game and the only numbers that count are the numbers going in on a longshot on the board and not that horse opening at 2-1 going off at 3-5. True a horse twice the odds of another horse going off significantly less in the exacta may seem like an extreme example to you, but believe me if you watch enough races you’ll see something similar time
and time again. Learn to recognize the winning LONGSHOT PATTERNS.

One more point. When I start checking the exactas I always go to the odds favorite and write in the margin () the shortest 4-5 or 6 exactas next to it, looking at the gaps. For example let’s say the 5 is the favorite (1-2-3-4-6). If I think there is a big gap between the 4&6 then I’ll start by checking the 1-4 horses in exactas. Now it’s entirely possible that one or all of those 4 horses showed up as taking money in the doubles but when I start cross checking horses it makes it easier for me rather than checking them all in a random way. This way I’m looking at what I perceive to be the main players in race. And it’s those horses in() along with the 2 short dd horses that I would use in my exotic bets when my key horse is going off a big price. If my key is really a big price like the 3 above (96-1) it behooves me not to wheel back and forth in exactas thinking let’s say there’s just no way a particular horse(s) just can’t hit the board. Believe me you’ll be standing and holding hands with that bridge jumper who thought that 1/5 shot can’t possibly not run 3rd as you both jump off that bridge together. $2752 exactas usually come around once at least not for another 2-3 years or longer. Believe me when I tell you I had Closing Argument (73-1) in 2005 Kentucky Derby and got fancy with the exactas and left out the 50-1 shot winner. Talk about your major letdowns.
