Really why would Comey say this... if in fact saying this would be another lie from him.

Mueller was appointed to determine if Chumpy obstructed justice, and any other wrongdoings the Chuimp and his boys might be uncovered in his investigation.

There was no Obstruction in the firing of Comey... Rod Rosenstein's letter recommending canning Comey was but one reason Trump had to do so. Mueller WAS appoint to determine Russian/Trump Collusion... as shown above No US Citizen was involved... Trump is one no doubt there... if we were talking Obama we could say hey maybe as there is a sherd of doubt on him.

“In my capacity as acting Attorney General, I determined that it is in the public interest for me to exercise my authority and appoint a Special Counsel to assume responsibility for this matter," Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said in a statement. "My decision is not a finding that crimes have been committed or that any prosecution is warranted.”
The appointment gives Mueller, who led the FBI through the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and served under presidential administrations of both parties, sweeping powers to investigate whether Trump campaign associates colluded with the Kremlin to influence the outcome in his behalf, as well as the authority to prosecute any crimes uncovered during the probe.
"I accept this responsibility and will discharge it to the best of my ability," Mueller said in a statement“. End Quote Fox News.
Mueller, then did a horrible job with the 911 investigation...all the evidence was basically carted up rapidly and shipped to a landfill immediately...no way we can trust this guy with this high debacle..if Rosenstein is dirty...then we got a dirty guy assigning another guy who basically covered up the facts of 911, or at least didn’t really investigate it properly...can’t trust Mueller to do a good job with this...like Q says, if dirty Rosenstein, then dirty Mueller...

I have explained Mueller was appointed before Comey's so-called leak

In appointing Mueller, however, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein gave him broad authority not only to investigate "any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated" with Trump's campaign, but also to examine "any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation."
Rosenstein also gave Mueller the power to investigate "any other matters within the scope of 28 C.F.R. § 600.4(a)" — including perjury, obstruction of justice, destruction of evidence, and intimidation of witnesses.

Paul Manafort may plead guilty to get out of having to go to his second trial
https://www.rawstory.com/2018/09/pau...-second-trial/
Lawyers for former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort are negotiating a potential guilty plea to get him out of his second trial, which is slated to begin in the District of Columbia later in September.
“Manafort’s lawyers have talked to prosecutors about a POSSIBLE GUILTY PLEA to avert his second criminal trial, which is set to begin in Washington this month,” Bloomberg News’ Jennifer Jacobs tweeted, citing a scoop from coworker David Voreacos.

Another flipper. More Trumpian dirt. LOCK HIM UP.

Nothing to do with RUSSIAN collusion, but I did find proof positive that RUSSIAN COLLUSION did in fact happen and the results were horrendous for millions of people.

So what your saying is...
Comey testified before congress in June then leaked the notes... not the other way around.
In other words....
Mueller was appointed then Comey leaked notes in the hope that Mueller would be appointed even though Mueller was already?
That's what you believe...?
And you have the gull to question why Trump followed Rosinstien'ts recommendations. The man is obviously not rowing with both oars.
Also the powers of the Special Council are not infinite. Rosinstien's open ended "And any crimes that may arise" will find it's way to the High Count.

Tom, wake up. Manafort, Gates are part of a possible "collusion", or conspiracy to defraud the U.S. Btw, Joe Stalin died 70 years ago
From Fox
How Paul Manafort is connected to Trump, Russia investigation
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018...stigation.html
Manafort has been the subject of a long-running investigation over his dealings in Ukraine several years ago – for which he didn’t file as a foreign agent until June 2017. But Mueller has incorporated that investigation into his own probe of Russian meddling in the 2016 election and possible collusion with Trump associates.[/B]
