Went to MT Rushmore during a family reunion - it actually exceeds expectations, and the drive up there is beautiful. If you ever get a chance to go there, do it.

kinda depressed and anhedonic, and last year we went out, and the dog went nuts and clawed through the cable/phone/wifi...
he's got a 'thunder shirt', on, and maybe it's helping a little
girlfriend is outside watching the big show this year
really wild this year on my block. Working-class suburb fireworks booming, loud patriotic country music pumping through the air.

Just watched a clip from KCAL-9 showing huge firework across the city from a helicopter, I assume.
This despite the fact Newsome banned them this year. It was an awesome display of patriotism and push back from citizens.
They are woke, as they say. Congratulations!!!
