The managers do over-manage the pitching staffs in the WS. They have for a long time now. Totally came to a head with Cleveland/ChiCubs a couple years ago.

totally agree with roberts blowing it with his pitching change while Hill is
tossing a shutout.

"100 pitches" and "don't have them pitch third time through the order" have changed from concerns for managers to ironclad laws of physics that can never be disobeyed.
