Haha. This board is probably too high on your priority list as it is. I know I find myself on it when I should be keeping records or watching races more often than I'd like to admit.

I guess it's a testament to the board itself. As much as it distracts me, I'd hate for it to go away.

Conditioned claimers went 21 and 4 on the tight turn of LosAl, then went 13 and 3 on the dead straight away from the quarter pole to the eighth pole? I don't think so.

I tried a hand time, which I am not skilled at at all, and came up with a 2nd quarter mile of 23.20. That would make the second split 45.30, which from a visual standpoint makes sense, and a hand-timed 5th eighth of 12.27, for a split of 57.57, which means to me the recorded split is probably accurate, and which also fits a more traditional story-line.

Who cares? Right? Cheap claimer at LosAl. When I watched the replay the first time and saw them post the second split, I figured I'd just look at the chart and see what the real number was, but nobody bothered to fix it, so it stands as is.

Bogus.
The half mile fraction for this race has been corrected. It is now 44.84.

Equibase transposed her first call position with the 2nd finisher from that race, Katie Ice.
This has been corrected. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

I'm guessing Trakus is the more believable one here, but even there it's unexpected to see a final quarter in almost 22 flat for a horse on the lead, Belmont course has been insanely fast lately though. Believe that's the 4th track record on the grass since the meet opened less than a month ago.
The chart caller was asked to look into the half-mile time in this race and it appears to be correct (43.75) so will remain as it.

It really does wear a guy down after a while. It isn't that stuff doesn't go wrong sometimes. It is that nobody in charge seems to give a shit.

Maybe Takus needs to buy better bastteries?

and Gulfstream , of all places - what is this, the third decade of incompetence down there? Didn't Beyer write about their moron-run tack , like 50 years ago?

Hey, maybe no one down there can read. Someone should call them.

I'll be shocked if that "track record" holds up at Santa Anita today. Everything about the times, fractions and final, seems bogus.

Hard to believe that the entire industry is this inept and incompetent, but it certainly appears to be true.

RACE tracks that cant time races.
Perhaps they need to FIRE the clown running them and hire high school swim team coaches.

The whole industry is a joke. If you go to Breakfast at the Track, never order a 3 minute egg.

Not really an "error" per se, but Monmouth continues to run 5.5f turf races without updating the system to actually time the races properly. Just another "who cares about bettors" example from around the country. This has been going on for several years now.

LaD 2nd yesterday on 7-20 reported final time of 58.18. Video display was 59.18 which makes a lot more sense as I make the figures.
