Indiana Downs / Churchill Downs...

Emailed Betfair as to why they no longer offer Indiana Downs markets. This is their response:

Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for your e-mail. Please accept our apologies for the delay in responding.

[font='Tahoma','sans-serif']We can no longer offer markets from Indiana Downs as they are now part of the Churchill Downs group

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further enquiries.

Kind regards,

And thats why there is no Derby betting on Betfair. CDSN threaten to pull their signals and pools from TVG if BF continued to allow exchange wagering on BF.

So as soon as the exchange wagering options close down in Cali, you can look to TVG to be shuttered and BF to have all CDSN tracks back on.

I thought I saw that Centaur Holdings, the Indiana based casino company that owns Hoosier Park, bought Indiana Downs. The plan was to race only Harness at Hoosier and Thoroughbreds at Indiana Downs.

The product and racing quality at Indy Downs has improved considerably over the past few years. Their races have taken away stock from races at Churchill and Arlington. I think the public still looks at "Ind" and perceives it as a Mountaineer or Prairie Meadows, and that perception is definitely wrong. Indy Downs is clearly above tracks like that.
