Your personal horse racing/horseplaying goals for 2009

What are your goals for 2009 as a horse player or fan?? These are personal goals for you, not goals for the industry. Do you want to bet less races, play more daily doubles, read more handicapping literature, visit Keeneland or Santa Anita or Saratoga??

Just curious what people's goals are for the new year.

Here are mine:
1. Call a graded race
2. Not bet on NY tracks (cause i love to play them and can never ever pick a winner)
3. Focus more on tracks where i know the connections better
4. Go to mountaineer again to see Peter and Mark and Nancy
5. Watch a day of races at Hollywood Park.

Here's hoping i can accomplish all these goals in 2009, and to all a prosperous new year!

1. Stop blowing all racetrack winnings on hookers.

2. Win more at the racetrack so #1 doesn't cut into the bottom line so much.

It's a vicious cycle man. A vicious cycle.

Happy Holidays to all!!!

Place between 1,000 and 2,000 win bets and show a positive ROI at all tracks played. This will prove my current handicapping approach and I'll be a happy camper

Now I'm off to eat the Big Guy's cookies Happy Holidays to all!

1. cut back on action bets in being more selective on plays

2. stop making dumb p3 plays where the sequence is bad

3. make more bets where I have a question mark and $ sign jotted down for a horse, (what I call a "glimmer" horse)
3a - never take a horse out but add a horse on so as to eliminate the dreaded ,"kick in the ass" .
4. only bet p4 bets when I have solid choices, otherwise cut down on it as it wastes too much of a skimpy bankroll.
5.bet more tri's and 10cent supers , as i have a knack for it, to replace p3/4's
6 enjoy racing at the track more vs gambling

Continue with my 2008 resolution . For every dollar I bet on horses I'll buy an equal amount in scratch off tickets . I haven't bought one in over a year . Happy Holidays to all !!

1. Avoid becoming emotionally bonded to a Derby contender in February.

2. Limit myself to only one Hattie's fried chicken sandwich while at Saratoga.

3. Spread out more in bet construction and stop trying to hit a home run every race.

My odds on achieving any one of these three goals are at least 10-1.
