Yes,Great.

Wouldn't it be nice if it were like a sport again, and people wouldn't have to be bombarded with one man's perception of linear speed. Imagine, thousands of people betting a horse for whatever reasons they wanted to. We could get hat pin Mary out of the 7-11 store and back to the track.

Greatest monoply money capper ever.
Not my style, and since some of you all want to get a room with each other and need to defend TLG,Who hasn't made one valid point in this thread besides his sarcassim and pessimism for Zenyatta and his love for papa Andy,
I'll agree with Jonnielu.

Since I didn't have Haynesfield yesterday, I'm not sure if I have the money.

Uh, you mean like it is now?
You are too pre-occupied with Beyer for your own good. Did he refuse you an autograph once? Hang a kick me sign on you? Get you with the old "what's that on your shirt" gag? Sneak up behind you and give you a wedgie while you were in line to bet?

J'lou is still bitter that Beyer liked Southern Rhythm in the '94 Derby.

Although I don’t use nor do I have any faith in speed figures whether they are created by Andy Beyer or anyone else.
I do believe that Andy Beyer has been good for racing and his self-proclaimed speed figure methodology is also good for racing because both him and his methodology creates a discussion.
What is wrong today is that the likes of Pittsburgh Phil, Phil Bull, Ray Taulbot and many others who had their points of view about handicapping thoroughbreds is no longer with us.
Therefore Andy Beyer is the last man standing.

That was not the highest level of the sport as we know it in the United States. That was a bunch of turf horses and dirt horses trying to run over a third and distinct racing surface against a big, beautiful, talented, freaky mare who absolutely loves the stuff. Big difference. But certainly not the highest level of the sport...no sir...not by any means.
Do they race on synthetics at the highest level of the sport over in England and France?
No, they don't.

God this thread has become an awful cesspool of unauthorized self-promotion on jonnie's part. I'm glad he's making it easy for me...

I don't think it's self promotion when it actively discourages people. Does anyone actually pay for that drivel?
Every single response of his reads like some kind of Buddhist koan. Problem is, I don't think anyone here is seeking self-enlightenment or a chance to unravel the enduring paradoxes of our universe. We're talking about friggin' racehorses here. Act like a sentient human, Jonnielu, pretty please.
