8/2,9th Mountaineer- Mountainman Question

Race condition is N2Y, non-winners of 2 races in 12 months.
For 2nd straight time, #7-Brat is entered here, even though 6YO
has been eligible for much easier N1Y (12 months) since July 9th...
UNLESS there's a race where a bad test has purse money in limbo?
Only 2nd place finish Brat has has since win was last August 24th
at Presque Isle. They couldn't still be arguing that race, could they?
Any info appreciated,
it's Night School tonight, & i don't have EZ answer for class.

Do you have a link to the pp's for the race?

Maybe he hasn't won any races since the cutoff date of Aug 2, 2015 (one calendar year).
His pp's don't go back that far...it's possible he's been running out of his conditions. In fact, that's what it has to be.

With a record of 45:3-1-10, looks like he isn't the type that is spotted to win every race. More like let's run him when he's ready and get the checks, albeit often smaller ones, as often as possible. Plus, maybe use him in the bottom of the exotics for their betting purposes. At least if he wins this race, he probably stays eligible for the for the N2Y.

"Worst Thing" a horse can do sometimes is Win, and then no-longer be eligible for races that he can earn a paycheck in. So this one, is a paycheck earner. And if he does win, he'll no longer be eligible for a N4L. They can have fun with him, but the fun is someone limited as to the number of times he can win (now, or over a lifetime, and still run and compete for a purse. Sad thing, but such is BRAT's fate as a cheap claimer.
