Even if she wins she has no political capital. She will go down in history as the liar in chief. Nobody will ever believe anything she says. She will be skirting impeachment and looking over her shoulder her entire term.

Some more background on the FBI investigation. The author speculates that one reason for Huma to forward the emails to her Yahoo account could be that she is not a computer geek, and that might have been an easier way to print out what she wanted.

...in an underage sex investigation, all electronic communications of the investigative target are pursued. This probably led to the grand jury that was announced 11 days ago issuing a subpoena for all of the devices in the possession of Weiner and his family, including Huma.

Evidently, some of these devices were not turned over in the first investigation and contained “pertinent” emails. We do not know with certainty, but some reports indicate the pertinent emails may have been found on Weiner’s laptop. Recall that the initial investigation did not convene a grand jury and did not therefore have subpoena power. It is possible that Huma Abedin misled the FBI over the existence of pertinent emails on her then-husband’s computing devices.

The author points out that Weiner's marriage is done, he is of no use to the Clintons, and he faces serious jail time for sex crimes.

It has been said and also demonstrated by his actions that Anthony Weiner is a real self-centered narcissist. If he remains true to his character, there is a possibility that he will consider cutting a deal for a lesser sentence in return for evidence and testimony against Clinton Inc.

The description I heard was 'tens of thousands'. Given what we know, I would guess Huma just routinely forwarded everything to her Yahoo account and then went through it later, maybe at home when she had more time.
