The suit is a frivolous waste of the Court's time.
Acosta was an ass and CNN won't admit it.
The WH was not limiting Acosta's freedom of speech rights.

It's in the middle of Corncob County, and everyone is infected with a bad case of "ballotitis"...

I agree Fox Acosta over stepped his bounds. I disagree the suit is frivolous ( great word). You can't have any White house picking and choosing who they want asking questions. That gets just a lil too scary for me.

Scary for you?....Jim Acosta is the one who should be very scared, as I think his expiration date in the public eye is about to expire....He's been way out of line for way too long....Buh-Bye.

PS- Maybe NBC will hire him to take Megyn Kelly's spot....He's so damn likeable.

There are thousands of reporters across this country that would love to be in that room.

He abused his privilege; not his right.

As for picking and choosing? Yes, the POTUS gets to pick and choose each and every "next" question. He can simply never call on Worthless Jim ever again.

By your own admission Acosta over-stepped his bounds.
The White House isn't asking to pick and choose who will be asking questions.
They are rightly asking for oversight of what is an acceptable standard of decorum from those who are asking the questions.
Acosta asked his question. It was answered. He refused to relinquish the microphone and while doing so committed a mild boundary violation of a young staffer. Who but CNN could condone that?
The WH was correct in policing that type of obstreperous behavior.
They are not taking away CNN's privileges. CNN is free to send another reporter, assuming that he or she behaves in a civil manner and accepts that the Press Gallery is not a place for rudeness.
One further point.
When I watch a President's meeting with the press, I want to hear what the President has to say more than anything.
Acosta was grandstanding. I and a million other viewers weren't there to listen to him. He was an ass.

That's right, and that's how Trump should have handled it. By banning Acosta, Trump let the media turn it into a freedom of the press issue and made Acosta look like a martyr rather than the butt-head that he is.

Very succinct and nicely stated post. My sentiments exactly.

I'm not sure of that. His superiors may have seen it as being aggressive to find the truth. I guess you forgot about Mike Wallace and Edward R. Murrow. They bore into anybody they thought was holding back. News people are a different breed.

Find Mike Wallace or Edward R. Murrow at a POTUS Press Conf. ever acting like Jim Acosta....To even mention Acosta in the same light as these two, is borderline criminal.
