Luis Saez

He rides hard.

Anyone have some good (Formulator, ROI, other?) stats for his performance at this current Gulfstream meet?

I know he's got at least 4 elite riders to compete with in the Ortiz bros., Castellano and Johnny V., but seems he's on his way to a riding title.

I guess I'm wondering if he's doing about the same as the other top guys, -- or if a metric like ROI, etc.., -- is showing that he's doing something statistically exceptional this meet.

According to Statsmaster Saez has a positive ROI at Gulfstream this year.

thanks for the 'Statsmaster' link -- I haven't seen that link since my old PC, and was googling for something like it.

Looks like Saez has a better ROI than the big names, and also more mounts total (takes less races off? and ships out of town a bit less frequently?)... The win% numbers, etc... look relatively close. His Earnings/Start is (5th)below the 'big-4' and in spite of a healthy lead in wins, his total-earnings is only 4th.

Nice jockey colony and Saez gives you your $ worth.

props to Jaramillo as well.

Honorable mention to Paco Lopez.
