I never forget about this thread because none of these questions have been answered.

Where did COVID go?? Why aren't people DYING like they used to, lines up in the hospital hallways and streets!?? I was promised a pandemic but that didn't work so we got a war instead.

As with all viral organisms, they mutate for their own survival, which also means our survival.

Proponents of "Natural Selection" says it works by favoring species that reproduce best... this means that new covid variants can be expected to be more contagious but less deadly, if not harmless... Killing the host is simply not in the interest of "Natural Selection".
