Ruthie should hang in there if for no other reason then to counter the way Mitch McConnell fu*ked over Merrick Garland with that phony excuse about the "tradition" (it can't be a tradition if it never happened before. But lying comes easy to Addison) of the new president choosing the Justice, although Scalia was selected by Reagan in his last year(1988), 98-0.

As usual, there is a major discrepancy between what Ginsburg said and how conservative media interpreted it. Ginsburg said that countries writing a constitution today would be better served by emulating the best parts of Constitutions written since World War II rather than one written in 1787. But she also said "We were just tremendously fortunate in the US that the men who met in Philadelphia were tremendously wise."
She went on to say, "We are still forming the more Perfect Union; when the Constitution was new in the seventeen eighties, we still had slavery in the United States."
She added, 'The genius of the Constitution, I think, is that it has this notion of who composes 'We the People.' It has expanded and expanded over the years so that now it includes people who were left out in the beginning. Native Americans were left out, certain people held in human bondage, women and newcomers to our shore."
Contrary to conservative opinion, Ruth Bader Ginsburg respects The United States Constitution. Unlike them she recognizes that a document written in 1787 could not possibly have anticipated what life would be like in 2018.
What about the South African Constitution? Daily Signal complains that it is too long and contains too many charts and graphs. Daily Signal ignores that the South African Constitution guarantees many rights the US Constitution does not. Rights which in many cases we have not even been able to codify in law.
Rights such as: freedom from discrimination based on sexual orientation and disability. The right to make your own decisions on reproductive choice, The right to join a political party or to form and join a trade union The right to housing and adequate health care. It also provides for environmental and workplace safety
It appears that I have just listed several reasons why conservatives hate the South African Constitution.

the only time a supreme court justice meant anything to me is when they scooped my Gore money in Florida and put up GW Bush. other than that i could care less who they stick on that kangaroo court. i suspect the president feels the same way as i do, but the rest of the population seems hell bent on who gets on it and its never going to make a difference in those peoples lives either.

Heard a rumor that the Dems proposed to McConnell....
If you want us to unanimously confirm Kavanaugh, we'll have RBG retire and you then confirm Garland simultaneously....Bipartisanship history in the making.
Isn't politics a blast?....

Sounds good but Trump would never go for it, and I wouldn't blame him, as his base would have his head on a platter.

Helloo!McFly? Anyone in there? Ruth Bader Ginsburg is not a Conservative, so your what if post is ridiculous. And we certainly would not call her an "admitted drunk" based on the fact that she had one or two glasses of wine with dinner.
That is something you would do. In fact it is something you did do in your second paragraph.

The South Africa constitution is too easily amended and will be changed to take away the rights of the white population.
"Currently, the South African government, led by President Cyril Ramaphosa from ANC, is looking into constitutional reform that would let land be expropriated from white farmers and handed to black owners without compensation."
https://sputniknews.com/analysis/201...white-farmers/
Taking away the rights of the American people is a goal of the democrats.

Why would she retire?
Her life on the bench is exactly the same as it would be at home.
Drunk everyday, tax payers funding her to sit around and play GOD over other people's lives.
No difference.
