North Carolina may not be a "narrative state", whatever that is, but it almost split 50/50 Dem/GOP with a Democrat governor. All the big cities here, Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill and Charlotte are quite heavily Democrat, I think as high as 80%, if we look to see where all the Venture Funding originated I can almost guarantee you it was in the RESEARCH triangle (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) and Charlotte.
