Only trainer that can beat him is himself.
Step aside Bob Baffert.

If anything sums up the state of horse racing today (especially in California), it’s this.

Dad hasn't broken 20% for a number of years - he's obviously been holding Jr. back!

It's non professional to have a family member serve your suspension.
Already cringe-worthy when an assistant runs the owners' horses in their place.
Also obvious why owners are comfortable with cheating. They have no consequences. Some owners have twice as many and nearly twice as many Wins as Shows. Some owners move from trainer to trainer with magic claiming success.

Mullins changed his ways about 10-12 years ago, maybe more.
He is a very good trainer, there was no reason for him to do what he did, I would have one point put him on the same level as Servis.
I hope his son does well and follows his current success.

Wasn't Mullins Sr. just suspended for another overage?
Why yes...yes he was...

Trainer Jeff Mullins has been fined $1,500 and suspended 15 days as part of a stipulated agreement with the California Racing Board for a medication violation found in Inch, the winner of the sixth race at Del Mar on Aug. 25.
Inch tested positive for the bronchodilator clenbuterol, which is not allowed to appear in post-race tests. Inch won a starter allowance at five furlongs on turf by three-quarters of a length.

What is there discourage him from cheating?
Lack of balls by the authorities?
He gets a few days and he gets someone elsr to train his horses......whoopdie doo!
10 year - lifetime bans might mean more.
Racing has been spineless forever.
Why does racing show such lack of respect for its customers?

Was told to 'read between the lines', but, in horse racing it's like " War and Peace"!!
