RIP Henry Cecil
A great trainer of racehorses, he will be remembered for his flair,
and love of the good life.
I was at The Curragh in 1973 when he trained Cloonagh to win the Irish 1000 Guineas.
That was his first Classic victory that day.
There was quite a party in the Owners & Trainers bar!
Frankel was the best horse he ever trained, but he had many good ones over the years.
25 English Classic victories, plus assorted big wins there, and throughout the world.
He died much too young at 70 years old.
